The RC Youth Chapter aims to engage young residents residing in the different Residents’ Committees Centres in Woodlands to partake in organizing and implementing activities such as block parties, emergency awareness days and other activities for the residents living in their respective RC Zones for the residents!
Youths may also form interests groups such as Hip-hop Dance or Culinary IG within their RC Zones!
Woodlands Youth Executive Committee (YEC) strongly supports the various RC Youth Chapter groups in Woodlands and helps in co-ordinating the youth programmes and youth-focus subgroups.
Objectives:
- Support the fundamental of community development, i.e. about residents engaging neighbours
- Offer a platform for young local residents to interact and build meaningful relationships
- Inculcate a sense of community spirit and belonging through active involvement and participation
- Get an early start on the pipeline of grassroots leaders
